A sleeve on the goathead roller should easily last 1 acre or more, and/or should easily pick up several gallons of goatheads. If not, we'll send you a free sleeve! There are some factors to consider with this, such as the concentration of goatheads in that acre, etc. But this is a good general rule.

Yes, we guarantee that the roller will work. If there are any problems, we will personally walk through them with you, and ask for a picture of the assembled roller so we can troubleshoot it, and/or send a new piece that may have been damaged during shipment, etc. If we can't fix it, then we will offer you a full refund.

The Goathead Roller is 24 inches wide, and with the handle it stands 45 inches tall. It weighs about 25 pounds.

The Goathead Roller works great on most surfaces, especially on dirt/gravel mix, lawns, sand arenas, or even fields. Does it work on gravel? Yes on pea gravel, but the principle for any terrain is that the goatheads need to come in contact with the neoprene sleeve so they can be picked up and scraped off into the catch basin.

The Goathead Roller usually ships within two working days, and it will usually be to your location in the USA within a week. All shipments are currently sent with UPS, and you will be emailed a tracking number when it ships.

All the Goathead Rollers are made in, and shipped from Payette, Idaho, USA.

The Goathead Roller picks up goat heads, sticker burrs, grass burrs, sand spurs, or any small thing with thorns. It even picked up a grasshopper once - much to his surprise!

The Goathead Roller should be moved back and forth (like a vacuum) at first where there is a large concentration of thorns. As you get the bulk of them picked up, then you could roll it in strips (like a lawn mower). It won't magically pick them all up on the first pass, but it will keep picking them up consistently and before you know it, you will have gallons of these nasty things ready to throw away.

Also remember that there will always be some thorns right below the surface (even just a 1/4 inch) that won't come in contact with the sleeve, but when the wind blows or cars drive on the ground, then this new layer will be exposed. That's why we say it's something that has to be re-done occasionally to stay on top of them.
