How the Goathead Roller Works

The Goathead Roller is designed to remove goathead stickers and grass burrs from your yard quickly, cleanly, and without ever touching the prickly weeds. The system is simple: roll, collect, and empty — so you can spend less time fighting burrs and more time enjoying your yard.

1. Push The Roller

The Goathead Roller is easy to operate, and you never have to touch the goatheads. Simply push the roller back and forth across your lawn, driveway, or gravel — like a vacuum — and the fabric sleeve will grab goathead stickers and grass burrs.

2. Collect The Goatheads

As you roll, the goatheads are scraped from the fabric into the built-in catch basin. You can continue using the Goathead Roller until the basin is full.

3. Empty the Roller

When the catch basin is full, simply flip the handle over to empty it. We recommend dumping the goatheads onto a piece of cardboard or a cement driveway so they can be swept up easily. Some customers even use a shop vac to remove the burrs from the catch basin.

Replacement Sleeves

The fabric sleeves on the Goathead Roller are built to be durable and can last a long time. They can take a lot of wear — even developing small holes — and will still continue to pick up goatheads effectively. Eventually, after many months of use, sleeves will wear out. When that happens, replacement sleeves are easy to order right here on our site.
